I started in the field in 2000. I wanted to serve and keep learning.

In the field since 2000 and licensed in 2007. In 2008 I decided to serve and to keep growing what I knew about construction — it took two years to get in, and I spent 2010 to 2016 in US Air Force RED HORSE, heavy construction and combat engineering. Insight Marine is the marine division of Insight Group, the family of construction companies I founded.

The company

Marine work is the hard end of construction.

Everything about building over water is harder than building on land. The tide moves, the barge moves, the permit has three agencies on it, and the only way to know a pile is right is to drive it yourself. That is the work we chose.

We own the barge, the crane and the hydraulic hammer, and our own crew runs all three. That means your schedule is ours to keep, not something we wait on. When a city hires us for public access, or an HOA puts a ramp in front of two hundred residents, that control is the whole reason it finishes.

We work one stretch of water and we work it well: Florida's east coast from Daytona Beach north to St. Augustine. The Halifax and Tomoka rivers, the Intracoastal, the Matanzas, and the inlets between them. Staying inside that run means our barge is close, our crew knows the tides, and we can be at your seawall the week you call.

The crew

In the water, most days.

Our crew sets piles waist deep, runs the hammer off the barge, and pulls the tape themselves. The men on the boat are our own, and the same faces stay on your job start to finish.
